Notifications of Forests Under EvaluationPublic input into forest management assessments is a very important part of the Forest Stewardship Council certification process. As part of our initial audits (i.e. "assessments"), SmartWood auditors solicit public feedback on candidate operations, using various means to collect public comment, including mailed questionnaires, face-to-face and telephone interviews and public meetings.
