Eco-Outreach Strategies
Conservationists, government officials and researchers know that meeting long-term conservation goals depends on their ability to explain their projects to the people most effected by their work. But not every biologist or project manager is an expert communicator. The Neotropics Communications program helps by organizing workshops that give NGOs and other organizations the hands-on training they need to design effective and efficient media and public-outreach strategies.
We have worked with dozens of NGOs, government agencies and university staff in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Tobago, the Bahamas, Mexico, Nicaragua and Panama.

Our Conservation Dialogues bring together project stakeholders -- including community members and government officials -- so they can compare notes on sustainable development issues, build on successes, better understand setbacks and plan new strategies together.
