Ria Stout
Managing Director, Sustainable Agriculture Division
Based in Guatemala, Stout oversees the Sustainable Landscapes and Sustainable Value Chains programs and the Traceability Unit and is a member of the International Standards Committee of the Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN). Prior to working for the Rainforest Alliance, she was a co-founder of Fundación Utz Kapeh in Guatemala. Before moving to Guatemala in 1999, Stout worked as a press officer at Cordaid in the Netherlands. She holds an MA in Social Anthropology and Sociology of Non-Western Societies from the University of Amsterdam, and a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Academy of Journalism in Zwolle, the Netherlands.
