2013 Rainforest Alliance Gala to Feature Special Guests: CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers and Deborah Cox
What?
The Rainforest Alliance will host its annual gala and sustainability awards dinner on May 15, recognizing businesses and individuals for their outstanding commitments to sustainability. The event will feature special celebrity guests who applaud the Rainforest Alliance’s global sustainability efforts aimed at conserving the environment and improving livelihoods. A “green” carpet will welcome special guests, honorees and attendees.
Who?
Celebrity guests and presenters at the May 15 gala awards dinner include:
- CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers
- Deborah Cox – Singer, Actress
- Tom Murro – National TV Host
- Chris Nirschel – Food Network Chef
Those being honored for their leadership in sustainability at the May 15 gala awards dinner include:

When & Where?
From 6:00-7:30pm celebrity guests, honorees and attendees will gather at the Rainforest Alliance gala cocktail reception at the American Museum of Natural History at Central Park West and 79th Street. During this time, media will have the opportunity to photograph and mingle with guests and interview business and NGO leaders and awardees.
