Rainforest Alliance Certification Gets Top Score with German Consumer Federation
The Rainforest Alliance Certified seal has been awarded recommended status by the Verbraucher Initiative, Germany's national consumer federation.
After a thorough assessment of the work of the Rainforest Alliance and the standards developed by the Sustainable Agriculture Network the Verbraucher Initative has listed the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal on its online database of consumer labeling schemes.
The consumer group awarded its "recommended" status to the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal in two areas: Social Affairs and Environment; providing further independent recognition of the benefits to farmers, farm workers, farm communities and the environment that certification brings.
