The Loc Bac State Operating Company is part of a continuous forest block stretching from the Cat Tien National Park to the Ta Dung National Reserve and contains High Conservation Value Forests that support ecological processes, such as hydrological systems and elevational migrations.
The Rainforest Alliance and the Citi Foundation Sustainable Value Chain Finance Workshop held on April 20, 2011, in New York City, brought together actors in agriculture value chains -- representing buyers, exporters, retailers, producers, insurers, the financial sector, civil society and development partners. Although individual participants had begun to discuss sustainability and value chain finance in their own work, this was the first time that a diverse group of stakeholders from different parts of the value chain had gathered to discuss the topic.

Natural World Heritage sites have exceptional natural beauty and/or outstanding biodiversity, and typically have a national-level designation such as National Park or Wildlife Preserve in addition to their World Heritage status.
This feasibility study, for small holder farmers undertaking tree planting activities, assesses the opportunities and barriers to implementation of FSC-certification and/or a forest carbon project in Vietnam’s Quang Tri province. The study was carried out in close cooperation with WWF and SNV Netherlands Development Organization.
