Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations
Fao.org highlights current initiatives and selected programs of FAO, available in Spanish, French, Chinese, or Arabic. Site contents include: background information on FAO, employment opportunities, a virtual library for the search and retrieval of publications and documents produced by FAO and links to other UN organizations.

International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Forest Conservation Programme
This IUCN site gives a quick guide to the initiatives, objectives, activities and partnerships of the Forest Conservation Programme. The site contains a table of contents and PDF versions of all issues of Arborvitae, IUCN and WWF’s joint forest conservation newsletter.

United Nations Kid-Friendly

United Nations Global Compact
This Web site relays news and upcoming projects of the UN Global Compact and gives an overview of local and regional Global Impact networks. The Learning Forum section provides projects, case studies and reports from Global Compact participants.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID)

United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Kid-Friendly
This Web site for the Unites States Environmental Protection Agency, dedicated to protecting human health and safeguarding the natural environment, features a newsroom and EPA initiatives, laws, regulations, contacts and business and job opportunities. There are also educational sources for teachers and an environmental club for kids.

World Bank Kid-Friendly
The World Bank works to provide monetary aid and technical expertise to developing countries to help them reduce poverty. The World Bank is also one of the key promoters and financiers of environmental upgrading in the developing world. Their Web site, available in several languages, includes reports, news and events, and research publications.
