The New Forests Project (NFP) Kid-Friendly
The New Forests Project is a direct-action program to initiate reforestation and reduce deforestation in developing countries. NFP’s Web site, available in Spanish or English, provides training materials and educational assistance to start local reforestation projects, including an on-line request form for tree seed.

Reforesting Scotland
Reforesting Scotland (RS) is an NGO dedicated to the vision of a reforested Scotland with a diverse and sustainable forest culture and economy. Deforestation has a long and socially complex history in Scotland, so RS's activities, which are intended to restore the links between people and forests, include community forestry, promoting non-timber forest products, fuelwood and woodland access for all.

Sustainable Harvest International (SHI)
Sustainable Harvest International provides farmers with sustainable alternatives to slash-and-burn agriculture. Sustainableharvest.org outlines current SHI projects in several Central American countries.

This Web site features a map indicating where Trees for the Future projects are taking place. Search the map to learn statistics about a particular region and information related to local reforestation projects.

Trees New York (TNY)
Trees New York work to plant, preserve, protect and care for trees in all 5 boroughs of New York City and the surrounding region. Their official Web site houses information on planting trees in NYC and on identifying nearly 875 trees commonly found in the United States with pictures for each.
