Valentine's Day
A Sweet, Sustainable Getaway
Environmentally sustainable, socially responsible and boho-chic. The casually elegant eco-lodges and resorts featured in our Valentine's Day line-up are good for the planet, support local communities and offer romantic rainforest experiences year-round.

Show Your Love... for the Environment
Can you be a responsible citizen, a good conservationist and a romantic? Well, sure. The secret is picking sustainable varieties of traditional Valentine's Day favorites. Your purchase of any gift bearing the green frog seal benefits people, wildlife and the environment.

with Radim Schreiber, 2009 Photo Contest Winner
To raise awareness of conservation issues and expand our collection of photos for use in publications and on the Web site, the Rainforest Alliance held our second Picture Sustainability photo contest in late 2009. We received nearly 800 photos and after paring them down to 16 finalists, preeminent nature photographer and contest judge Art Wolfe chose Radim Schreiber as the first-place winner.
Take the Sumptuous Path to Sustainability
Help us make a red-hot holiday green! Become a member of the Rainforest Alliance before Valentine's Day and you'll receive two complimentary Newman's Own Organic chocolate bars, made with Rainforest Alliance Certified™ cocoa beans. The Rainforest Alliance is working with farmers in Latin America, the Caribbean and West Africa to ensure that cocoa is grown in harmony with the environment. Your decision to become a member of the Rainforest Alliance will help us to reach more cocoa farmers, conserve more forestland and protect more wildlife habitat.
