The Year in Review

Hot off the presses, our 2012 Annual Report examines major milestones in our work to curb climate change and help farmers and foresters adapt to its effects. The report will also introduce you to farmers, foresters, community organizations and indigenous groups who are our partners in conservation.


	Innovations in Sustainable Business Today, Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms produce 4.6 percent of the world's coffee, 10.2 percent of its cocoa, 11.2 percent of its tea and 15 percent of its bananas. 	The Prickly Pineapple Over the last decade, pineapple production has increased by 300 percent in Costa Rica, making the fruit the country's second biggest export. The surge in popularity is good for the economy, but it is also a struggle for local farmers striving to meet the demand while combating pests in a safe, sustainable way.
