Community Collaboration

Meet a community of 500 tea farmers who have been working toward certification in the Chinese province of Yunnan since 2011. Along the way, these farmers and their families have learned the dangers of agrochemicals, the value of protective equipment and the skills necessary to adapt to a changing climate.

A Sustainable Future for Vietnam

Local leaders from Vietnam’s close-knit farming communities are sharing lessons on sustainable farming with their neighbors. At training workshops organized by NESCAFÉ and the Rainforest Alliance, farmers exchange stories and lessons learned as they study ways to increase production efficiency, better their livelihoods and protect the environment.

Congratulations to Megan King and Marianna Kreidler of Bicyclists for Equal and Diverse Streets (BEDS)! These inspiring women have won our “So Practical, It’s Radical” Video Contest for a short film documenting their work with BEDS, a student-run organization at Allegheny College committed to creating a world where cyclists, pedestrians, drivers and those differently-abled can each have equal access to fun, safe transportation.

This Rainforest Alliance video contest challenged US college students to submit a video that documented what they were doing to make their campus more sustainable. Our Grand Prize winners are taking home a Renovo bicycle, two tickets to the Broadway musical Wicked, and a Twig Case Co. iPhone case made with Forest Stewardship Council/Rainforest Alilance Certified™ paper.
