Laura Kirk is an English teacher at The Nightingale-Bamford School in New York City. Before Nightingale, she taught at schools in Switzerland, Colorado, and California. She is passionate about working with young people and committed to issues of diversity, inclusivity, and sustainability. Her involvement with Rainforest Alliance began in 1999, when she traveled to Brazil to see the organization’s work in the Amazon, and she has been involved with the organization ever since. She has a BA from Wesleyan University and a MFA from Mills College. She and her son Theo live in New York City.
