This year’s Follow the Frog campaign is getting close, taking place September 22-28. This unique marketing campaign will connect consumers and businesses selling products carrying the Rainforest Alliance Certified™ seal with the message of sustainability and the power of shared commitment and conscious everyday choices.
If your brand has not already joined, there is still time to engage with our global audience! Make use of our free and ready-to-share resources. Post about Follow the Frog using our pre-written sample messages and free downloadable graphics, and include the hashtag #FollowTheFrog on your social media channels. It is an easy way to tell your current and target audiences about the impact of your work with the Rainforest Alliance and your commitment to people and nature.
A roster of companies around the world are already engaged in Follow the Frog 2019, talking about their Rainforest Alliance commitments online, in the office and at the store.
Obviously, at the Rainforest Alliance, we will do our part as well. While companies are in the unique position of driving positive impacts to scale, everyday actions and personal choices from individuals add up to a meaningful difference too. We will undertake our own consumer outreach, leveraging our online portals and social media to directly engage our members, supporters and the public. Followers will be encouraged to look for the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal when shopping. We will invite them to learn more about the story behind “little green frog” on their favorite product and what it means to be certified. Here is what we have planned, and how you can get involved.
To add another layer to our reach and impact, we are working with a global cohort of eco-conscious influencers who will together reach hundreds of thousands, of followers. During the campaign they will share the #FollowTheFrog message with audiences eager to hear about how they can make small, everyday choices, such as choosing products carrying the Rainforest Alliance Certified “green frog” seal, to further their sustainability journey.
Instagram “Lighten Your Footprint” Giveaway
To encourage and celebrate everyday actions, we are creating the #FollowTheFrog Lighten Your Footprint Giveaway on our Instagram page— a series of inspiring and informational posts on our work with farmers, foresters, businesses, and communities around the world. We will encourage our followers to lighten their environmental footprint by showing that their choices such as purchasing certified products and taking other everyday actions for a sustainable future can drive positive environmental and social impact.
Followers have the chance to enter the giveaway by sharing our contest in their Instagram story, commenting on our posts, and replying to at least one of the week’s sustainability questions we will be sharing. One of the participants of the challenge chosen at random will have the chance to win a prize package of Rainforest Alliance Certified products as well as a Nespresso X Vélosophy “RE:CYCLE” bike, made from recycled aluminum coffee capsules.
A huge thank you to all the generous offers from our partners; Allegro coffee, Dove chocolate, Bixby chocolate, Chocolove chocolate, Rosaprima roses, Torie and Howard candies, and Tom’s of Maine soap. Would your company also like to donate to our prize package? Contact us before September 20.
