Position summary:

Rainforest Alliance Corporate Advisory team supports companies to adopt best-in-class definitions and tools for establishing and implementing commitments on responsible & deforestation free sourcing, allowing them to translate policy into practical, achievable actions that lead to positive social and environmental impacts within priority supply chains. The Coordinator for Corporate Advisory in Rainforest Alliance Tailored Programs Department will work closely with the Corporate Advisory Project Leads to provide programmatic support for the execution of our advisory services related to responsible sourcing of priority sector commodities (Forest Products, Palm Oil, Coffee, Tea, Cocoa and Bananas). S/he will be directly involved in various aspects of project implementation including scheduling, preparation of cost proposals, data analysis and visualization, authoring source assessment reports and other client support activities.


  • Support the North America and Europe Corporate Advisory Project Leads to develop technical proposals and budgets for new corporate advisory fee-for-service opportunities;
  • Backstop Corporate Advisory Project leads on technical project activities for clients, including data analysis and visualization, modelling of sustainable pathways, report writing, and client training;
  • Manage pipeline of new business opportunities and maintain frequent contact with, and partnership development of, potential new corporate advisory clients;
  • Liaise with other focal service areas of Tailored Programs to share lessons and best practices for tailored services to companies;
  • Coordinate closely with non-Tailored Programs staff and external partners accountable for delivery of Corporate Advisory project activities and tasks;
  • Create, maintain and adjust corporate advisory project work-plans and budgets to fulfill project reporting requirements and ensure activities are delivered and outputs achieved on time and to a high standard;
  • Consolidate, archive and update documentation on lessons and best practices generated through Corporate Advisory projects for wider Rainfores Alliance and stakeholder benefit.
  • Support corporate advisory administrative and project implementation tasks as necessary.


  • Bachelor’s degree in forestry, agriculture, international development, natural resource management or supply chain management;
  • At least 2 years of progressively responsible work experience in the agriculture and/or forestry sector;
  • Knowledge of key sustainability topics, as well as market and policy trends related sustainability;
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and work under tight deadlines;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including preparing technical reports and presentations;
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and proficiency with additional tools such as Power BI, Tableau. GIS skills a plus;
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainable development and/or biodiversity conservation;
  • Proven experience in project planning and management and problem solving.
