Customer Success Assistant - Americas

Position summary:

The Assistant will provide support to the Customer Success unit, which is responsible for helping to ensure that entities using the Rainforest Alliance Certified™ (RAC) seal on packaging and marketing materials for agricultural products are compliant with the Rainforest Alliance Trademarks Guidelines and related policies such as licensing, traceability and chain of custody. The Assistant will review trademark approval requests, provide traceability support in Marketplace 2.0 and follow-up on Chain of Custody Risk Assessments.


  • Respond to general inquiries from companies, organizations and individuals wishing to source and/or promote products made with crops from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms;
  • Review and process trademark requests from companies in the Americas region (North, Central, South America and the Caribbean) and other regions when needed, by providing recommended changes and mandatory requirements for approval in line with the Rainforest Alliance’s trademarks, licensing, traceability and chain of custody requisites;
  • Assist customers with their traceability compliance in Marketplace 2.0, resolving issues and questions for supply chain actors in the Americas;
  • Assist customers of any supply chain but specifically those of banana, cocoa and orange juice supply chains in the Americas region;
  • Assist with Chain of Custody Risk Assessment inquiries and processing;
  • Contribute towards ongoing reporting tasks for the Customer Success team (e.g. Farm to Market) using current systems and processes;
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability Marketing, Communications, Business, Language Studies, or related field;
  • 1-3 years of experience in a professional office environment;
  • Understanding and experience of sustainability and certification programs highly desired;
  • Strong written and spoken English required; fluency in Spanish is preferred.  Other languages a plus;
  • Outstanding attention to detail, organization skills and ability to handle high-pressured environments and deadlines;
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgements with little to no supervision;
  • Ability to work efficiently, managing multiple priorities and deadlines across international time zones;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multi-national team and office;
  • A passion for sustainability and the environment, and a strong commitment to the mission of the Rainforest Alliance;
  • Must have strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and Internet); and
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally, including internationally.
