Position summary:

To grow demand for our services and products with key accounts in the US and Canada that represent high volume and/or key positioning for the US market.  To recruit the most innovative and influential accounts/market partners/stakeholders to join our program and initiatives and help us to innovate the sustainability landscape.
 

Project summary:

  • Create, develop and maintain relationships with strategic accounts to achieve revenue targets, growth and/or change;
  • Lead the development and implementation of annual account plans for the most important accounts in US and Canada to grow volume, advance joint sustainability goals, join our initiatives to innovate the sector;
  • Responsible for volume/royalty goals with those key accounts;
  • Support the implementation of market plans (business development plans) at country level to achieve country goals;
  • Recruit leading accounts in the country to join our program and initiatives;
  • Work with other departments (Markets, Regions, Advocacy, Programs) on developing and implementing account plans for key accounts in US and Canada;
  • Define and lead cross-departmental groups/discussions to define and implement plans and initiatives to achieve country goals;
  • Work closely with field representatives from main countries supplying Rainforest Alliance products to key accounts in developing information and initiatives relevant to core market;
  • Align with Global Advocacy Team on Public Affairs strategy for Core Markets;
  • Represent Rainforest Alliance in discussions with relevant groups, stakeholders and Government to advance Rainforest Alliance’s agenda;
  • Create and report on account goals (volume, activities, engagement with Rainforest Alliance initiatives) and plan for most important accounts; and
  • Other duties as assigned.
     

Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Economics, Agriculture, or related field;
  • At least 4 years of experience working with strategic accounts (senior executives, marketing, supply chain, CSR leaders) and relevant stakeholders in US (especially in food sector);
  • At least 4 years of experience developing and successfully implementing account plans
  • Experience developing market initiatives in partnership with origin stakeholders;
  • Experience with strategy development and implementation highly preferred;
  • Fluency in French, Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus;
     

Salary:

Commensurate with experience.
