A Farmer’s Fact-Finding Journey from Cocoa Bean to Chocolate Bar

Adrien Kouadio is a cocoa farmer from Cote d’Ivoire who loves his Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa cooperative, his family, his community and, of course, soccer. His family has been farming cocoa for generations.

Yet like many cocoa farmers, he has never tasted the velvety sweetness of the finished product. Follow our protagonist on his journey from cocoa bean to chocolate bar—a mission that takes him from his Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farm in the village of Paul Kru, Cote d'Ivoire, to a chocolate processing plant and finally to a supermarket in London.
