A Coffee Farmer Shares Her Perspective on Rainforest Alliance Certification

Recently, we asked Leticia Monzón what Rainforest Alliance certification meant to her.

We were inspired by her words: “As a mother I want to say that this has improved the well-being of our children. Before we joined the [Rainforest Alliance Certified] program there was a lot of pollution of both organic and inorganic garbage. The waste water from the mill and sewage went into the streams and contaminated the streams and rivers. Today, everything has changed. Today we’re improving on all levels."
