A Lifetime of Fighting for Strong Forests and Healthy Communities

Fresh out of high school, Nigel Sizer set off on an adventure that changed the course of his life. After that transformative experience, he dedicated his professional life to fighting for the world’s most threatened forests, as well as rural communities living in poverty. A PhD in tropical ecology; years of living in Kenya, Brazil and Indonesia; and most recently, his role as global director of the World Resources Institute forests program have honed his vision of a world rebalanced. In this video, Sizer details his fascinating backstory and offers a peek into his home life.
