Why:

Every day 80,000 acres of tropical rainforest are destroyed.  That’s why for the past 25 years, the Rainforest Alliance has worked to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior. The organization works in more than 100 countries, and today more than 3,000 companies buy or sell Rainforest Alliance Certified products.

Follow the Frog Week is an international campaign to encourage shoppers to help create a healthier planet by choosing products that feature the Rainforest Alliance Certified green frog seal. This trustmark, found on coffee, tea, chocolate, fruit, furniture and paper, is recognized by consumers globally as a symbol of sustainability. Products featuring the seal come from farms and forests that meet a rigorous set of criteria protect wildlife, soils and waterways and the well-being of workers, families and communities. For more information please visit: http://www.rainforest-alliance.org/followthefrog
