More than 90% of Second Cup’s coffees are sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms, and all of Second Cup’s teas and tisanes carry the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal. (Source: Second Cup)

Achievements to Date 
  • Since 1988, Second Cup has purchased through direct trade relationships with farms, mills and cooperatives, and in 2010 extended their commitment to sustainable purchasing by choosing to work with the Rainforest Alliance, converting 80% of their coffee portfolio to Rainforest Alliance Certified™ coffees.
  • By the fall of 2011, all Second Cup teas and tisanes also carried the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal and 100% of black tea, green tea, rooibos and chamomile were sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms.
  • By April 2013, Second Cup sourced 90% of its coffees and teas from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms. Thirteen coffee blends are already 100% from certified farms, with the goal of five others containing at least 70% certified coffee available in café by the end of 2013. (Source: Second Cup)
