Wendy Gordon

Wendy Gordon, Vice Chairman, is the founder and general manager of The Green Guide, a website and magazine published by National Geographic. Ms. Gordon worked in the 1980s as a senior project scientist at the Natural Resources Defense Council before co-founding and then serving as executive director for Mothers & Others for a Livable Planet, which originated the Green Guide in 1994. She received a BS in geological and geophysical sciences from Princeton University and an MS in environmental health sciences from the Harvard School of Public Health. She currently serves as chairman of the board at Trickle-Up, an international non-profit organization that promotes micro-enterprise development among the poor.
