Grace Yu

Grace Yu was a litigator on civil rights issues when she first came to work for the Rainforest Alliance in 1996, where she served both as legal counsel and major gifts officer.

As legal counsel, she secured outside pro bono services from the law offices of Davis Polk and Wardwell, and with their assistance, established the legal framework with the Rainforest Alliance’s partner organizations.

Yu currently sits on the board of Ashden, which supports annual awards for innovative sustainable energy solutions, and the African Rainforest Trust, which is dedicated to conserving Tanzania’s Eastern Arc rainforest through local forest management and grassroots community conservation.  She lives in London with her husband and two children.
