Dear partners,
This email contains important updates for companies managing traceability for Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee.
New traceability platform launches in November 2026 – here’s how to prepare
- By end of October 2026: Make sure all your MultiTrace transactions are up to date. Confirm, withdraw, or reject any pending transactions. Transactions that have not been confirmed will not be migrated and will need to be re-issued in the new traceability platform. Got questions? Find answers here.
- From November 2026: You can access the new traceability platform through MyRA to manage traceability for certified coffee. Exact dates will be communicated to you at the end of September.
- Training materials and benefits: Explore the training materials for the new platform here. Additional coffee-specific training materials will be released soon. The new platform brings a clearer dashboard, upfront confirmation of partner and product data to reduce errors and delays, more customizable overviews, and a stronger, more consistent system to support traceability from producer to end product.
What if I manage traceability for multi-ingredient products?
If you work with products that contain more than one Rainforest Alliance Certified ingredient (for example, a product that contains both Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa and coffee), for now, while not all certified ingredients have moved to the new traceability platform (in the example above, coffee has moved to the new platform while cocoa is still handled in MultiTrace), you should only confirm incoming certified volumes in the new traceability platform. Do not carry out any other traceability activities, such as manufacturing, selling or redeeming these products.
Later, once all Rainforest Alliance Certified ingredients used in your product are available in the new traceability platform, you will need to complete the remaining traceability activities there (for example, manufacturing of a product containing both Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee and cocoa). For full details, please refer to the Policy: Traceability Extension for System Transition.
