The science is damning – and we need to act fast with drastic measures.  Forests and agriculture are a key part of the solution and protection, restoration and regeneration is crucial. Protecting intact forests, promoting integrated landscape management, and restoring natural ecosystems are crucial for both climate change adaptation and mitigation.

The Rainforest Alliance mission focuses on nature-based solutions, including forest protection, restoration, and improved land management practices to increase carbon storage, avoid greenhouse gas emissions, and build resilience to climate impacts.

The Rainforest Alliance contributes to shaping the climate justice movement with concrete solutions to help support the most vulnerable people, by providing the right tools and training to farmers to become more resilient to climate impacts, by enabling access to finance, better living and working conditions, and by amplifying the voices of indigenous and forest communities.
