Daniel J. Couvreur is an international banking executive with more than 35 years of experience in the banking industry. He held senior management positions at NIBC Bank & KBC Bank and previously worked for seventeen years at Citibank, both in Brussels and London in various senior client and product roles.
Couvreur has previous board experience at Easdaq, B.I.A.C. (Brussels Airport) and various real estate and fund management companies and was a trustee of the Belgian Governance Body (Guberna). Currently he acts either as board director or advisor to mainly Benelux companies. In addition, he is a senior board advisor for NIBC Bank and council director of the Conference Board’s M&A Council.
Couvreur holds a Master’s degree and a “Licentiaat Doctorandus” in monetary and international economics from the Catholic University of Louvain as well as a post university degree in European studies. He is fluent in English, Dutch, and French and is married with three adult children.
