Host an Event or In-store Promotion

Engage customers in your sustainability story with in-store events, displays and promotions. Tell them why your products carry the Rainforest Alliance Certified™ seal and how they can “follow the frog” too.

  • Host a tasting, demo or event highlighting your products that display the green frog seal.
  • Offer discounts, coupons, recipes and DIY tips.
  • Create a raffle, giveaway or sweepstakes for customers to win your Rainforest Alliance Certified™ products.
  • Invite local celebrities to help draw customers into your store.
  • Feature our Follow the Frog downloadable posters and graphics.
  • Include Rainforest Alliance plush frogs, tote bags, stickers and more in your giveaways, store displays, etc. See a full list of products and order form here.
  • Use our multimedia and talking points for in-store visuals, newsletters, circulars, etc.
  • Promote your event via staff and social networks and invite local reporters and bloggers to attend. See more tips and resources for media outreach.
  • Take photos and share them via social networks or your website, or include them in future promotions.
  • Email us about your planned events or promotions by August 15th so that we can add it to our Follow the Frog Week events page and promote it on social media.

How Companies Participated in 2012

  • Tetley Tea ran a competition to win a cuddly frog and a year’s supply of Tetley Tea.
  • Lucienne’s gave out free chocolate samples at various wine-tasting events.
  • Java Love Coffee Roasting Company, La Colombe, Timothy’s Coffee and Yogi Tea all offered discounts on Rainforest Alliance Certified™ products.
  • Yorkshire Tea gave away a year’s supply of their tea via Twitter.
  • Lavazza ran a competition at all Ponti’s Restaurants that included Tierra Gift set giveaways.
  • Ducale Coffee held a Follow the Frog Rainforest Alliance Certified™ tast­ing event at its DC Laundry venue in Sydney’s Potts Point.
  • More than 15 tour operators from the Rainforest Alliance TOPS com­munity, including Aventuras Tierra Verde, Charity Challenge, Ruta 40 and Surtek, offered special travel discounts and “Follow the Frog Week” itineraries.
