Use Follow The Frog to engage your current customers and get new ones on board by showcasing your commitment to sustainability and your work with the Rainforest Alliance through a variety of activations. Whether you are using the “green frog” seal on your products or working with us on your company’s sustainability journey, below are just a few ideas to get you started.

Events
- Host an event highlighting your work on sustainability with the Rainforest Alliance or your Rainforest Alliance certification;
- Inform and motivate your employees about the work of the Rainforest Alliance through staff training events.
- Organize a tasting or demo showing your products with the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal;
- Use the Follow the Frog point-of-sale materials to decorate the venue to bring your event to life;
- Invite local press and bloggers and encourage them to send a photographer or video crew. If they can’t attend, offer to send them your own images of the event for publication.
Promotion and Competition Ideas
In-store:
- Run an offer, competition, or giveaway of your food, paper, or wood product(s) featuring the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal;
- Promote these activities on social media using our Follow the Frog downloadable images and hashtag #FollowTheFrog.
- Award loyalty points for purchasing products with the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal. For example, if a customer purchases five products with the green frog seal during Follow the Frog, offer the sixth product free or at a discount.
- Decorate your store(s) with Follow the Frog point-of-sale materials.
- Invite local celebrities, officials, or influencers to help draw customers into your store.
- Take pictures in your store(s) and share them on your social channels (don’t forget the hashtag #FollowTheFrog) or website;
- Tell your local press about your Follow the Frog activity and invite them to attend. Follow up afterwards with photos and a press release.
Online:
- Run a competition or special offer (discount or giveaway) linked to your products with the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal, or other work with the Rainforest Alliance.
- Launch and promote your Follow the Frog activities on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Cause Marketing Campaign
Another idea is to collaborate with the Rainforest Alliance on a cause marketing campaign. You can support our work to create a better future for people and nature by donating a percentage of gross revenue from selected products to the Rainforest Alliance. Last but not least, one reminder as you plan an event or promotion: the use of the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal, corporate logo, and the Rainforest Alliance name must be reviewed and approved prior to release, so please be sure to upload any artwork to Marketplace 2.0 via the normal procedure.
