Using the Rainforest Alliance Verified™ Mark
The Rainforest Alliance Verified™ mark communicates a business' commitment to reducing its environmental impact and is awarded to tourism and certain forestry enterprises and projects that meet criteria developed (or endorsed) by the Rainforest Alliance. The verification mark may only be used on off-product marketing and promotional materials.
Businesses or projects that have reached appropriate milestones as set forth and verified by the following Rainforest Alliance programs may apply for the Rainforest Alliance Verified mark:
- SmartStep Forestry verification
- Verification of High Conservation Value Forest
- Generic Chain-of-Custody certification or verification
Tourism businesses that engage in our certification auditing process and demonstrate compliance with our sustainable tourism standard may be eligible to use the Rainforest Alliance Verified Mark. Use of all Rainforest Alliance marks must be pre-approved in writing by the Rainforest Alliance.
