The Rainforest Alliance has launched a vibrant new brand identity with a sleeker, more dynamic frog. Inspired by the rainforest habitat, our new brand identity represents a major milestone, following our January 2018 merger with UTZ and the development of our new organizational strategy.
We've dedicated more than 30 years to amplifying the voices of farmers and forest communities, improving livelihoods, protecting biodiversity, and helping people mitigate and adapt to climate change in bold and effective ways. Through the years, our frog has changed and adapted along with the growth of our organization and the evolution of our identity.
We have also worked to refresh and modernize our green frog seal as part of the development of our new 2020 Certification Program, while making the most of existing strong consumer recognition and brand value. We are proud to introduce our new Rainforest Alliance certification seal. This new seal replaces the current Rainforest Alliance Certified™ seal and UTZ label and can be found on product packaging and promotional materials from September 1, 2020.
The new Rainforest Alliance seal is a bold mark of change. It’s a symbol for hope, action and progress. The seal is a way for brands to tell a story about the good that goes into their products and makes easier for people to make a better purchasing choices.
