Dreams Punta Cana Resort & Spa is committed to making the world a greener place. Our friendly staff works to promote a socially responsible environment.  To demonstrate our commitment, we are involved in:

  1. Sponsorship of El Yonu Elementary school:
    • Donation of school supplies.
    • Collaboration with the special year-end holiday celebration.
    • Three Kings Day celebration.
    • Training programs for parents of children.
  2. Day-care program:
    • Twice a month, employees can bring their children to work. Designated staff provide host special events for kids.
    • Special Epiphany celebration with children.
  3. Reforestation efforts:
    • Our team works closely with a local government representative who assigns different areas to reforest, which we plant twice per month.
    • At the hotel, our Explorer's Club staff talk to children about the negative impact of deforestation on the planet and how they can contribute to conservation.
  4. Support to the sugarcane farmers in Los Bateyes village in La Altagracia province:
    • We organize donations of food, clothing, and other necessities to the citizens living in Altagracia.
    • We sponsor the orphanage and shelter.
  5. Local clean-up activities:
    • Including beaches, wetlands, and the Lava Vacama and El Macao protected areas.
    • Environmental education activities at the Yonu school.
  6. Additional efforts:
    • Recycling program.
    • We use organic compost made from vegetable waste.
    • Partnership with the local police and coast guard.
    • Internship program with students from local and international universities.
    • Baseball and basketball teams at Dreams Punta Cana that compete with other resorts in the area to promote wellness and exercise.
