Rainforest Alliance

The Rainforest Alliance Certified seal assures consumers that the product they are purchasing has been grown and harvested using environmentally and socially responsible practices. Farms and forestlands that meet the rigorous, third-party standards of the Sustainable Agriculture Network or the Forest Stewardship Council are awarded the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal.

Agricultural Products

Businesses that source products grown on certified farms and farms that meet the Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN) Standard may apply to use the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal.

To use the seal, businesses must register in the online Rainforest Alliance Certified Marketplace, sign a license agreement, comply with our traceability requirements and use the green frog seal as defined in our Use of Seal Guidelines [PDF] and only with our approval. Forestry Products

Forestry operations that have met the standards for FSC Forest Management certification, FSC Chain-of-Custody certification are eligible to use the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal in tandem with the FSC trademark. Those businesses that have earned Rediscovered Wood Certification may use the seal without the FSC trademark.

Use of all Rainforest Alliance marks must be pre-approved in writing by the Rainforest Alliance.
